Riot Fest
Sunday, Nov 5th, 2006
Congress Theater

16 punk/ska bands=long day.
I’m tired. Had a good fill of angst and the Wisconsin country-side as I have returned to MN from Riot Fest 06.

Bands included The toasters, The Effigies, Mustard Plug, The Business, Blue Meanies and the two bands I went to see: 7 seconds and Naked Raygun.

Went with the Ranft Bro.’s, so I felt particularly safe amongst the skinheads and drunk kids. Tony and Max had my back.

7 sec’s ruled. Great loud and fast punk rock. Slamming in the pit to 99 loft-balloons was a high-dream come true.

Then came on Raygun. Heroes. And rather than blabber on about the details, I’ll just mention that it felt like a good send-off to an old band that shaped my mind. Details might come as I find stuff on the internet. One highlight I might mention, Jake Burns from Stiff Little Fingers made a guest apperance to sing Suspect Device.

Going to bed, I’ll put the angst to good use tomorrow, when I vote.
