Mixing Pop and Politics

Listening to Billy Bragg lately. He’s inspiring to the shameful activist such as myself to get my ass in gear and move the ball forward.

It has been suggested on another blog that the video produced for Obama’s Convention speech is merely more “emotionalism than content”. The responder believes that (sadly) “this is what people want now-a-days.”

Now, I don’t know how you feel about Obama, but I’m pretty fired up. I’m pretty fired up for a MAJOR change in our world. I’m pretty fired up for a progressive movement that shifts our nation into overdrive. I’m pretty fired up for the bettering of our schools, of our energy-usage, of investing in our infrastructure, our workers, our lowest-paid, hardest working people.

And as much as I’d like to see this blog provide something of interest for all 6 of its readers (we will provide a variety of articles, written from a variety of FPA Scene-approved authors), you gotta know where you are starting from when you come here.

FPAScene is working for the Great Leap Forward.

Does this mean you've jumped off the Static Cling 2008 bandwagon? That was a campaign I could get behind...
