Too Old?

Drove to work thru the university campus today, as I often do. Today, there was a student smoking at a light with his gal-pal. He was wearing those longer blue jeans that come pre-cut up along the seams. Do you know the style? Lets see if I can find a photo.

Anyways, looked stupid. But it begs the question: When does the lifestyle of the young cross the line from energetic and new to stupid and pathetic?

For example, Kathy knows an adult who says, "Where are my peeps?" in all seriousness.

She seems stupid to us.

But is this slang the new language? When I'm 860, will 30 year olds be talking about their "peeps?" Wouldnt that suck?

I mean, there is nothing wrong within an approperate context. But some 30 year old woman working in a professional setting (except the entertainment industry) in way outta context and should be dope-slapped.
