$35..for a race?

$35 bucks is the entry cost for this weeknd's State Road Race championship.

Seems way too high.

now..now.. Jared, I know youre paying $50, but just cause you can and do, dont make it right.

Seriously, $35 to race on an open course. No word yet on neutral hand-ups or wheel cars.

I'm calling out LSC. Way too much for a minnesota race. From one promotor to another, quick that shit. It sets a bad standard. Cycling is already too expensive, this aint right. Last year, the BW State Road Race was the one of the most expensive races at $25. We had all the fixins too. And we made money.

Now, everyone is probably gonna go because its the state championship, but it feels nasty to me. Nasty selfish.

Am I gonna go? Not sure. If I do, I'll be bitchin' all the way. And I can, cause I'm a promotor. Put my time in.

So, you a minnesota racer? You gonna go? You okay with the cost? Whats too high?

I hear ya bro.. I've been bitching about it all year. They will start a president. Wait till next year. $30 office crits and $40 road races.

Oh yea... they are the richest club in town. They print money at the early season Opus races.

Yup, I'm racing and so is Heather.

I've never heard why pre-reg. is so much better for the promoters. We didn't do it with Bwood, and we went off without a hitch.

yeah, I was never convinced that it adds any real benefit to the promoter, other than capping field limits (first come, first serve situation).

I've had bad experiences; I've pre-reg for a race, than couldnt go, so I lost my entry fee.

Racers seem to like it, but I'm not sure why.

Still Pre-reg or not, $35 is alot of $$ for a race. Its a bad trend. I'm becoming vocal about it.

i did the state rr last year that you put on and i would say it had the longest slowest lines for registration in my 10+years of racing bikes
